The white Gold of the Celts
From the world famous finding area in Upper – Austria, leading archeologists have
created the first travelling exhibition about the naming Hallstatt – Culture out of the prehistorical mines and graveyards of Hallstatt.
Especially the organice xhibits made of leather, fure and wood are most important
witnesses about the live of minors in the bronze- and ironage.
Besides the unique carrybags made of cow leather and parts of clothes as hats and
shoes, the masterpiece of the collection, the approx.7000 years old minors hawk made of
deer horns is the highlight of the exhibition.
For the first time ever, this travelling exhibition shows additional founds from the graveyards of Hallstatt outside of Austria.
