The Etruscans

An ancient culture revealed

Organized by Contemporanea Progetti with the collaboration of noted archaeologists, this exhibition reveals the many human and everyday aspects of the lives of princes, warriors, farmers and merchants who lived almost three thousand years ago in ancient Etruria. A lifetime compromised of powerful symbols and strong values, but also of luxury, deep religious faith and superstition. It is this context that is provided by the exhibition design of Contemporanea Progetti.

Against an evocative background of scenery elements, reconstructions and audio aids, this fascinating Mediterranean population is unveiled through the exposition of approximately 500 of the actual objects and artifacts that passed through their hands. Based on a rarely-seen, private collection, the exhibition exquisitely illustrates the Etruscan world, revealing their close ties with the land, their family dynamics, their everyday occupations, as well as the fears and the passions that haunted their minds and enflamed their hearts.
